Books are an amazing source of information, and an easy way to change your life. I know you spend hours on your phone scrolling through Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Why not use that time to sit and read a book that will help you improve your mindset and your life?
In this blog post I will be sharing with you 5 really amazing books that will change the way you think, improve your mental health, and improve your life.
1. Self Love Workbook for Women
This one isn’t so much a book as it is a workbook. It does have a fair amount of reading and valuable information, but it also has a lot of workbook pages for you to fill in.
This book is designed to help you with your self worth and self care. It has activities to help you take care of yourself. It also has pages to asses where you are and give you help to improve.
It’s a decent size book for you to slowly work on over time. It’s amazing because it has a lot of resources and ideas for you to better your life and work on yourself. And the worksheets help make it fun and personal.
Another great add in to this book is positive affirmations. It has positive affirmations thrown in throughout the book which are amazing to read as you go, and a fantastic resource for you to write down to have a list of positive affirmations to go back to!
I think every women needs this book so she can prioritize taking care of herself in a fun and personalized way.
This book has been amazing in helping me to take care of myself and generally be softer and kinder to myself.
2. Believe in Yourself and Do What You Love
This is probably my favorite book on this list. It’s similar to the last book in that it has activities for you to do, but there are less activities and more reading.
But what’s great about this book is the chapters are very short, about a page and a half to two pages long. So it’s easy to get through and easy to consume in small amounts.
Like the self love workbook, this book has little activities to assess where you’re at and help you improve. The activities themselves are very uplifting and fun. One activity is to ask 10 people you know to describe you, and I found that activity to be very uplifting and positive.
It also helps you to realize what exactly it is you want out of life and what you value and what you bring to the table.
This book has been amazing at helping me feel uplifted and learn about myself and my strengths and my value.
It’s a very positive book overall and is all about helping you to be your best self and love yourself and your life.
I would highly recommend this book if you’re looking for more positivity and direction in your life.
3. The Four Agreements
You might have already heard of this book, heck, you might have even read this book. I was required to read this book in college and it was the only assigned book I’ve ever really liked and gotten any sort of value out of.
If you did read it in high school or college, I highly encourage you to read it again. And if you haven’t read it, you should definitely read it now!
This book is all about the way we talk to ourselves, how our mind functions, and the way society has trained us to think. And it helps you to understand how you think and how to allow youself freedom and peace.
I’m sure you’ve heard the phrases “inner child,” “the judge,” “inner critic,” etc. He talks about all these and how they work.
This book is a combination of Toltec wisdom and modern day awarness to create a book that allows for ancient wisdom to teach you freedom in a modern day world.
This book is fairly spiritual and talks about the ties to the universe and things in that realm, but definitely understandable to the average reader.
This book has truly changed the way I think about myself and the world and helped me feel free within my own mind and break free of traditional thinking.
I will say this book can get a bit repetitive, but the information is really amazing and valuable.
This book truly changed the way I look at the world and I realy beleive everyone should read it.
4. Relax Your Mind
This book is a bit different from the other books I’ve mentioned so far. It is all about meditation, breathing, and visualization to help you relax your mind and find calm in your day.
The chapters are broken into different aspects of meditation; how stress affects your body, breathing, training your mind, visualization, etc. And each chapter you learn more about meditation, how it can help you, and specific techniques. And at the end of the book, he teaches you how to put everything you’ve learned together into a 10 minute meditation.
This book is great because it offeres not only information on how to meditate, but also on stress and how it’s affecting your mind and body. He goes into some of the technical aspects of stress and the chemicals in your mind, without it feeling like a science book.
It’s highly informative and helpful. This book is perfect for beginners, and a great resource for people who are already into meditation.
This book really helped me to learn how to meditate, and also how important it is to meditate, and how damaging stress is to our bodies and minds.
Meditation can truly change your life. It helps you feel more calm and relaxed, it helps with sleep and focus, and visualization in particular can help you feel more positive and aware of your life and how you want to live.
5. You Are a Badass
I’m sure you’ve heard of this book by now, but if not allow me to share a little bit about this amazing book.
This book is a little bit like “Belive in Yourself and Do What You Love,” but with a little more sass and a bit more language. It’s centered around helping you to quit self sabotage and realize your worth. Like Believe in Yourself, this book is a combination of advice and little activities.
This book will help you create the life you want and do it fast, while learning to retrain your brain to beleive you can have whatever you want.
This book, as the title implies, has really made me feel like a badass and helped me to believe I can have whatever I want in life.
This book is so empowering and will make you feel like you can do anything, because you can!
Bonus Book: Rich as F*ck
Okay, I have one more book recommendation but I didn’t want to add it to the list because I haven’t finished it yet. I didn’t want to suggest a book I haven’t read yet but already this book is incredible and I want to share about it.
As the title implies, this book is all about getting rich and making money. This book is all about believing in yourself, manifestation, and raising your vibrations. And I know this may sound odd or hard to believe for some of you, but I really think if you open your mind and believe in it, it will work.
How it’s already worked for me:
I am only 3 chapters into this book, and I’ve been repeating affirmations, doing the homework at the end of the chapters, and believing that it will work. And just the other day, I got an unexpected raise at work! I’ve been in the workforce for about 4 years now and I’ve never gotten a raise. I’ve only been at this job for about 5 months and I’ve already gotten a raise after starting this book! This totally blew my mind, and I’m so excited and motivated to continue with this book and moving forward to a better life!
